Ilana Richardson studied art in Jerusalem and London, where she has lived since 1974.

She travels extensively, sketching and taking photographs to find inspiration for her evocative, sun drenched paintings and prints.

She is at her best when depicting the interplay of light and colour on form and she favours countries where the hot strong light enables her to contrast lush vegetation with the bright walls of Mediterranean or tropical architecture.
