Kevin Liang, born in China in 1957, is from a family with a long tradition of art. Kevin received strict basic training at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1977. He emigrated from China in 1982, attending Queens College to study the arts and computer graphics.

He developed a strong interest in Post American Photo-Realism. In his oil paintings, Kevin found inspiration in traditional Chinese art and French Impressionism. He seems to lessen the excessive realism with the poetic sensibility found in Chinese literate paintings. He increased the amount of emotion and strengthened the expression of subjective feeling. Nature has been the primary source of inspiration for Kevin's art. His works are always centered around subjects he admires most: the home, the countryside, and serene, beautiful landscapes. Kevin has enjoyed a successful career as a professional artist for over 15 years. He resides with his family in Brooklyn, New York.
