Born in Kansas, John Douglas has spent nearly all of his life in the American Southwest. He attended Arizona State University on an art scholarship where he trained intensively for four years, studying drawing, painting, and other art media.
Douglas' primary inspiration comes from nature, especially the natural beauty of the Arizona landscapes and wildlife that have moved countless others before him. His artistic specialty is the crafting of minutely detailed still life and floral compositions.
