| From a walk in the woods near his country retreat in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to a stroll down Madison Avenue in New York where he spends his workweek, Richard Difatta strives constantly to be in tune with his environment. As an artist, his subject matter and medium of choice often changes, because he gathers inspiration from the world around him. Today, whether he is painting on canvas, refinishing a chair, planting his garden or working as the successful graphic designer and illustrator that he has been for over twenty years, Richard Difatta sees personal expression as the keynote of his life. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in a nearby suburb, he was one of a select group of area youngsters to be accepted for formal art training at the Carnegie Museum.
