| Born a Sagittarian, this St. Paul native has been an artist her entire life. She came to the Southwest to live a lifestyle of hiking and gardening, and to study art at Arizona State University. While there, Cheryl pursued her understanding of the human anatomy by spending countless hours on life drawing classes. Today, Cheryl's figurative and abstract-landscape paintings complement her desire to create art with realistic and fantasy elements. Cheryl finds painting human forms to be extremely challenging and exciting. The artist resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her two cats and two dogs, and when not painting she can be found in her garden. Her work is characterized by tone on tone colors, and a refreshing air of simplicity. The mixed media, collage technique and glorious finish create a layered masterpiece that delights the eye and complements any decor. |
