| Debbie George was born in 1970 in Southwell, Nottingham. This fresh artist’s work is primarily concerned with still life and her subject matter is inspired by everyday objects, such as vessels, plants and flowers. George uses a variety of materials such as oil paints, acrylics, emulsions and pastels to create her richly layered surface revealing fragments of colour and texture. She practises her passion for the arts in her hobbies which include ceramics, printmaking and model making.In her career to date, George has been artist in residence in many schools and exhibited widely across England.Debbie runs her own gallery, the Sanderson, George and Peach Gallery, West Yorkshire. |
