| Janet Treby’s work is a personal look at the human form inspired by a fascination for drawing, movement and natural forms. Treby’s holistic approach to life and strong spiritual beliefs flow through her work, and result in a romantic ambience where the contemporary and traditional synthesise. Her studies of figures in motion show their attempt to escape from earthly confines. They are delivered into an ethereal land, a world in which humans fly and dance to the tune of the wind. She intends for the viewer to find their own path through her paintings, for their minds to go on journeys of their own choosing. Janet Treby has exhibited worldwide including London, Tokyo and Moscow. She lives a rural family existence in Bedford. |
