| Peter Wileman was born in London in 1946. His career began as a studio junior at Hallmark Cards, studying lettering and design for five years. After a spell in advertising he spent three years as an art editor of a sports magazine at IPC. He left to pursue a career as a freelance illustrator. Wileman is a regular exhibitor at the John Noott Galleries in Broadway, Worcestershire. He has exhibited for the last six years at the Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Society of Oil Painters, of which, in 2001, Wileman became an associate member. |
