Henry Clarke Biography
Henry Clarke was born in California in 1919. In his late twenties he took temporary work in the renowned studios of Conde Nast, New York. Inspired by the fashion greats Horst, Penn and Beaton, Clarke began to take his own photographs and went on to work extensively for British, American and French Vogue throughout his career.

In the 1960s, with the patronage of American Vogue’s Diana Vreeland, Clarke pushed the limits of exotic colour location work, juxtaposing the flamboyant new styles against famous architectural and archeological sites around the world.

Clarke’s most notable photographs, however, are images of French fashion taken during the 1950’s. His love of all things French manifested itself in the lively, elegant images he produced; a delicate balance of the formal and casual.

About our Framing
Quality: Because we love art so much, we could never frame anything with less than the highest quality materials. From working directly with the best frame moulding manufacturers, to using conservation matting, quality is paramount, and your satisfaction is always guaranteed.

Pricing: We are not so bold as to offer a price match "guarantee" with the thousands of sources of custom framed art in the world. But we will stand by the statement that our prices are generally the best you will find...anywhere. We are consistently 40%-60% less than local frame shops, and usually at least 10%-20% less than other online outlets.
