| Born in 1947, Raymond Gizzi was raised by his Parisian mother and Roman father in his native Provence in France, where he learned to appreciate the lights and colors of this region before discovering the art of painting. This explains the in-depth observation and comprehension noted in the work of Raymond Gizzi, a stylistic Provencal painter of today. After different professional experiences and endless hours of self-discipline, Mr. Gizzi discovered his real goal and above all a real way to express his sensibility. In 1985, he participated in his first exhibition at the Relais Culturel des Saintes Maries de la Mer. Encouraged by the shows success, he decided to devote himself entirely to the art of painting. Since then he has participated in exhibitions throughout the Provence including Les Baux de Provence, Aigures Mortes, Aix en Provence, Dandol, Saint Paul de Vence, and Montpellier.
