Sarah Van Beckum Biography |

| Most of Sarah Van Beckum's formative years took place on a 160 acre farm in Wisconsin, with a one year diversion to Colombia, South America. Now residing in Colorado, Van Beckum has enjoyed living in both Mexico City and Paris. "In Mexico I learned to love the primitive art and the whimsy and colors of Mexico. The aesthetics of the countryside of France, as well as the culture, art and elegance of Paris provided another view of the world." Indeed all of these experiences are present in the paper, paint and stitched works that Sarah produces in her studio near Denver. Her artwork beautifully incorporates the many artistic skills she has developed over the years, with a multicultural accent throughout.
