With the earth as her first love, Ms. Tishman concentrates on painting landscapes. She prefers to exclude any human presence, but instead focuses on the forces of nature. That pure communication often results in emotional qualities felt in a landscape; perhaps dense fog as a comforting blanket, or sunshine in a forest as a welcoming haven. The spirituality of nature is a subject itself for her.

Ms. Tishman has exhibited her paintings throughout the United States, and a number of private and corporate collections include her work.
