Raised in Southern California, Paul was recognized to have artistic talent as early as age 5. A family trip to Italy became his earliest art influence; and many years of private instruction and worldwide travel inspired him to carry on the traditions and imagery found in art forms dating back to antiquity. He mentored under professional artists from the age of 5, and later earned a B.A. from California State University Northridge.
