Peggy Corthouts was born in 1959 in Coventry, Connecticut. In 1983, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from Arizona State University. Ms. Corthouts also studied with Wayne Kimball, master printer at the famed Tamarind Atelier.
Among fine art prints, Corthouts is known as a printmaker of remarkable skill and sensitivity. More recently, she has concentrated on her own work, which is receiving considerable attention in the art field. Masterfully executed, her beautiful landscapes are contemporary, yet possess a softness and quality of light reminiscent of the Impressionistic Period.
Corthouts' work has been exhibited throughout the United States and her pieces are featured in the collections of the Markland Corporation, National Medical Enterprises, Piedmont Airlines, the John C. Lincoln Hospital, Arizona State University, and the Embassy Suites Hotels.
