Alice Pritchard
Acclaimed American artist Alice Pritchard's luxuriant paintings evoke the opulent exuberance of a 17th century Dutch still life. After studying Fine Arts and Literature at the University of Virginia, the artist completed a Master of Arts degree at the University of Maryland. Pritchard continued her study of art under noted American watercolorist Charles Reid and portrait artist Marcos Blahove.

The artist's painterly technique begins with the application of washes of opaque watercolor to cotton rag paper, she then proceeds to build up multiple layers of pastel to obtain the rich profusion of color that characterizes her work. Pritchard's contemporary palette of cool jewel tones accentuates the openness of her intricate compositions.

Pritchard's paintings have been the subject of numerous exhibitions and her work is represented in many prominent collections worldwide.
