ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES - CAROL ANN CURRAN

Artist Biographies

Carol Ann Curran

Carol Ann Curran began her career in art at the early age of eleven when the Montclair Art Museum awarded her a painting scholarship. After studying at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, she worked as an illustrator for advertising and greeting card companies. More recently, Curran has been illustrating children's books and painting for private collectors. The fine detail in her work provides a striking contrast to the vastness of her favorite landscape - the seashore. Apart from her coastal works, she also enjoys painting children in order to capture the subtle expression of youth and innocence in a traditionally realistic style.
