ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES - RACHEL DEACON

Rachel Deacon was born in London and studied at Chelsea School of Art, graduating in 1991.

She bases her work on poetry or short stories, creating a scene or situation on a single image. Geometric shapes and angles are used to create a strong design and this is coupled with bold lines and rich colours and surface textures.

Deacon has exhibited her work many times in the UK and currently lives and works in London where the majority of her current exhibitions are held.
